About Marcia Sikes
Marcia Sikes has practiced homeopathy for over 20 years. She is a graduate from The School of Homeopathy, Devon, England in 2000 where she received her Diploma in Advanced Homeopathy.
To further develop her understanding of homeopathy, she continues to study with homeopaths from the US, Netherlands, Canada, England and India.
Having personally experienced the healing power of homeopathy, Marcia’s focus remains on chronic illnesses such as: anxiety, depression, asthma, arthritis, fibromyalgia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, allergies, ADD and ADHD, hay fever, sore throats, menstrual and menopausal disorders, and migraines...

Marcia Sikes was born in Buffalo, NY. She attended local schools and is graduate of Canisius College. She is currently in practice in Hamburg, a suburb just outside Buffalo, NY.
Why Homeopathy? In Marcia's words...
Back in my mid-20s, I first became interested in Homeopathy when my physician failed to help me with breathing difficulties. I was diagnosed with asthma, given an inhaler and a prescription for steroids and sent on my way. I refused to take steroids because I knew they could lead to permanent dependence and cause serious side-effects. I continued to experience breathing difficulties when I exercised in cold, damp weather and had a frightening experience when I took a hike in the woods on a cold damp day and forgot my inhaler…I breathe. It was like someone sitting on my chest and I was powerless to do anything.

Desperate to find an alternative to steroids, I decided to explore natural approaches to healing. I had heard about homeopathic medicine which sounded pretty crazy to me, but was open to try anything. The homeopath asked me all kinds of detailed questions... for about what kind of person I was, what kind of food I liked, what I worried about, etc.. Many very specific questions were asked about my asthma symptoms… what made them better and what made them worse. It was a 2-hour interview which left me feeling that not only had she truly heard and understood me, I understood myself better.

The results were astonishing. That was what fueled my passion and drove me to study the science of Homeopathy and eventually practice it.
